IN THE HEART OF THE RINGHA VALLEY, Farm Liotard offers a true experience for guests who want to discover the way of life and rural traditions of the Tibetan people living on the Shangri-la Highlands.
Close to the old city of Shangri-la, twenty-five minutes by car, the Farm and its Fixed Camp can accommodate couples, families and larger groups. The Ringha Valley has preserved its natural setting. It groups together six villages with its small Buddhist temple in the centre, on a sacred hill. A stay at the Farm is an excellent alternative to hotels and above all an ideal starting point to explore the surrounding countryside, a real and traditional world.
During the modernization work, they managed to keep the singular originality of each room, such as the vast and imposing dining room and the prayer room, all decorated with silky Tibetan paintings.
On the grounds of the Liotard Farm, there is a large meadow where horses graze alongside the tents of the Fixed Camp, but also a farmyard and vegetable garden with vegetables that in summer come to delight the dishes on the table.
Phoebe – a native of Dorset, England – has given up her catering business to embark on this Tibetan adventure, building a successful house and table d’hôte in the Shangri-la countryside while taking inspiration from the famous English cottages. Today, with the help of her Tibetan neighbor Zhoma and the Tibetan farmers of the valley, Phoebe offers at her table a unique culinary experience mixing European cuisine with local products.

FOR FAMILIES with young children or elderly people unable to go on a Caravan trip, Fixed Camp is the ideal option to spend a night under the stars with the comfort of Farm Liotard nearby.
FARM LIOTARD offers two guest rooms, Temple and Explorer Room. Unique atmosphere, comfortable and warm with their wood stoves, adjoining bathrooms and refined decoration.
A DINNER AT THE LIOTARD FARM in the large traditional lounge, with a day of discovery in the Shangri-la countryside beforehand, followed by a tea-time, aperitif and visit of the Farm.
